- Bowery Basil, 1.25 oz, leaves cut from stems
- 1 large egg white
- ½ cup sugar
- Whisk egg white with 1 tsp of water until frothy, then, working with one leaf at a time, brush egg wash onto Bowery Basil; sprinkle with sugar and transfer to a wire rack to let cool for at least one hour until firm and dry.
- Once dry, place candied basil garnish on top of your favorite holiday dessert, such as this iced pound cake.
