Throw it back to the 80s with Bowery's take on the infamous cheese ball! Tangy from goat cheese, sweet from dates, and zesty from lemon, this herb-filled wonder will be sure to delight your guests.

Ingredients
  • 10 ounces goat cheese, softened
  • 2 blocks (16oz) cream cheese, softened
  • 6 dates, pitted, roughly chopped
  • 1 cup walnuts, chopped
  • Zest of 1 lemon
  • 2 clamshells Bowery Parsley, chopped
  • 1 clamshell Bowery Basil, chopped
  • Pretzels, crackers and/or crudité, to serve
Preparation
  1. Combine goat cheese and cream cheese in a large bowl. Mash together with a spatula until smooth and uniform in texture.
  2. Mix in chopped dates, ⅓ of the chopped walnuts, lemon zest and ½ of the chopped herbs. Use a spatula to gently form the mixture into a ball.
  3. Mix the remaining walnuts and herbs together and put them into a medium sized bowl. Gently roll the cheese ball in the walnut herb mixture. Keeping the ball in the bowl, transfer to the fridge to firm up.
  4. Remove from the fridge at least 15 minutes before serving. Enjoy with pretzels, crackers and/or crudité.
