Ingredients
- 2 clamshells Bowery Basil
- 1 cup cranberries (frozen or fresh)
- 32 ounces vodka
- 16 ounces triple sec or cointreau
- 32 ounces unsweetened cranberry juice
- 16 ounces basil simple syrup
- 3 limes, thinly sliced
- Seltzer, for serving
Preparation
- Pour 3 cups of water into a nonstick bundt pan. In a circular formation, with all stems pointing the same direction, arrange the basil leaves to form a wreath. Top with cranberries, and place in the freezer for 3 hours, or until fully frozen.
- To make basil simple syrup: combine 3 cups water and 3 cups sugar in a medium pot. Cook until sugar has fully dissolved, then pour into a jar containing 2-3 clamshells of Bowery Basil. Cover with a lid, and place in the fridge till room temperature.
- In a large punch bowl, combine vodka, triple sec, cranberry juice, and simple syrup. Mix gently to combine.
- Remove the ice wreath from the freezer, and place a cutting board on top. Gently flip over, then wait a few minutes for it to melt very slightly. Tap on the top of the pan until the wreath releases.
- Very gently slide the wreath, basil side up, into the punch. Garnish with lime slices.
- To serve, fill a glass with ice, and pour in 1 ladleful of punch. Top with seltzer and a lime slice.
